I never met him in person but I've been talking to him for many years I considered him a friend and a mentor help me through some very tough times he had a great understanding of life I found his life exciting and definitely a very intellectual person we had conversations I simply can't have with those in my age group and on the selfish side I am truly going to miss those conversations his guidance and advice I know his family doesn't need to hear this but he talked about all of you very often always proud

My condolences on the loss of someone who clearly made his mark to many and in such a positive way. Stephen´s sense of humor about life is perfectly captured in his witty and touching obituary, a fitting tribute to a life well lived.

Wish we could have met and known him - sounds like the kind of guy we would have loved to spend time-with - sorry for your loss and happy for your outlook and incredible sense of wonderful humor...

Loved my friendship with Stephen. This is a great nod to a man who was always putting the rest of us to sleep. So good, in fact, I´ll be stealing it verbatim for entry into his church´s newsletter - they could use the occasional reminder he was a member. Not to worry about writing recognition. You´ll get full credit in the byline. Thanks for such a wonderful job, Clyde. Check´s in the mail.

Didn't have the honor of knowing your dad, sorry to say, but he would be quite please with the honor that you have bestowed on him.

Although I did not know your father, I feel I have met him before! I am so sorry for your family's loss but so glad y'all have so many treasured memories, stories and momentos (boxes) to share with each other. Here's to a life that was "lived".

I do not know you or your father. However he sounds like one absolutely engaging and happy man. Though I'm sure there were many struggles those boxes he saved may be stored with them all. I would say your father not only lived, he lived well to have this beautiful family and numerous friends. I imagine God welcoming him to heaven with open arms and he being
directed to the stage for comedy hour. " I have this family who continually reminded me how late I always am. Now they say I'm too early". Live well...Live today..

That is one of the funniest obituaries I have ever written. Nicely done. My condolences for your loss.
