Stephen "Steve" Andrew Wells passed away peacefully on July 28th, 2025. Steve was born on April 17, 1951, to the late Andy Wells and the late Wilma Brookshire.

Steve loved God, his family, and his country. He proudly served in the U. S. Army and was a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division. Steve also had a love for sports and enjoyed watching them with his 2 miniature dachshunds, Duke and Oscar. He was a dedicated hard worker and retired from the paper mill in Canton after more than 37 years of service.

In addition to his parents, Steve is preceded in death by his son, Teddy Wells; his stepfather, Brook Brookshire; and his father-in-law, Bobby Heatherly

He is survived by his loving and dedicated wife of 43 years, Pam Wells; his three children, Shane Wells (Kyla), Brook Taylor (Charles), and Andy Wells; his grandchildren, Avery Wells and Blake Taylor; his sisters, Ginger Rogers and Karen Smith; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Steve was also cherished by his mother-in-law, Beverly, and his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

A service with military honors to celebrate Steve's life will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday, August 1, 2025, at Pinnacle Church in Canton. Pastors Steve Rhinehart and Caleb Simmons will be officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 5:30-7:00 PM prior to the service at the church.
