Stephenie “Nowell” King Weaver, 48 of Gautier, MS passed away on February 7, 2024.
She was born on January 5, 1976 in New London, CT to Stephen and Dana King. She was a graduate of Ocean Springs High School class of 1994. She was a two- time parent of the year. She had immense talent in a very wide array of areas. Some of her talents included hair and make-up which she had done for friends on many special occasions from proms to weddings, cooking where she had worked in restaurants as second chef/ desert chef, catered events including weddings and also designed and decorated cakes for family and friends. Her cooking was amazing, especially her steaks and finer cuts of meat such as a rack of lamb and lamb chops, but it was her desserts that truly displayed the unmatched talent she was famous for. No matter what the occasion was from Halloween to talent shows, she enjoyed using her skills to design and make custom costumes for her children. Her happiest times were spent using her talents to help make other people happy whether it was planning gatherings for holidays, birthdays or doing volunteer work at the schools her boys attended. This was a special love of hers from being the Easter Bunny or Santa Clause to just helping out with class parties.
She will always be affectionately known and remembered as “Possum” by her loving husband and children. We believe if she had the chance, she would sign off with,
À tout le monde To everybody
À tous mes amis To all my friends
Je vous aime I love you
Je dois partir. I have to go.
Nowell is survived by her spouse, Erik Weaver; parents, Stephen and Dana King; children, Stephen Weaver, Daniel Weaver, Jakob Weaver, and Viktor Weaver; siblings, Amanda Stringfellow and Chase King; and her many raccoons; nine ducks; and cat.
