Sterling C. Baptiste, aged 14, a resident of Worcester, MA, and a cherished member of the community, was tragically taken away on Friday, April 26, 2024. Born in Worcester, to parents Sterling Baptiste and Helena R. Miller, Sterling was a bright light in the lives of those he touched.
As a young man of varied interests, Sterling was best known for his prowess on the football field, his keen interest in the latest video games, and his remarkable sense of style, particularly when it came to his footwear. His lively spirit and friendly demeanor will be fondly remembered and sorely missed. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to make people laugh.
Sterling was in the midst of his educational journey at North High School, where he was not only expanding his intellect but also forging lasting friendships.
He leaves behind a grieving family: his father, Sterling Baptiste; mother, Helena R. Miller; brother, Kayleb T Baptiste; maternal grandmother, Susan Bronzo; paternal grandmother, Melanie Pina; and great-maternal grandmother, Joyce Bronzo, along with numerous friends who felt his warmth and kindness.
The family invites loved ones to join in commemorating Sterling's life during visitation hours to be held on Sunday, May 5, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Callahan Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Funeral Home, located at 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester. This will be followed by funeral services on Monday, May 6, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the same location. The interment will take place at Hope Cemetery in Worcester where Sterling will be laid to rest.
