Steve P. Abernathy, age 53, of Marblehill, Georgia, passed away Thursday, December 25, 2025 at Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care in Cumming, Georgia. He was born June 7, 1972 to Alonzo and Juanita Abernathy in Duluth, Georgia.
Steve is survived by his wife, Wynelle Abernathy of Marble Hill; daughter, Sonserea Kazmier; daughter, Samantha Abernathy; step-son, Shane Johnson; step-son, Anthony Johnson; step-daughter, April Johnson; grandchildren, Kyle Mumper, Clayton Johnson, Levi Johnson, Leah Johnson, Katelun Brown, Faith Burns, Elijah Burns, Grace Kazmier; great-grandchild, Jordon Mumper; brother, Terry Abernathy and Marsha Patsigula of Mississippi.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Abernathy.
Steve was devoted to his family. He was a loving husband and father.
Memorial Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 29, 2025 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Charlie Buchanan officiating.
The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home, Monday, December 29, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.
