Steve Benavides, a devoted family man and hardworking electrician, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2025, at the age of 78. He was born on February 01, 1947, in Colorado to Miguel and Victoria Benavides, and grew up in the close knit community of Aultt, Colorado.

Steve graduated from Highland High School in 1966 after graduating he joined the Army National Guard until 1974. He spent most of his life working as an electrician a career he took pride in for its skill and precision. He was known for his quiet strength, integrity, and the deep loyalty he showed to those he loved.

Steve is survived by his sister Pat (Daniel Archuleta) Benavides; his nieces Patrice (Arturo) Castillo and April Archuleta and Nephew Julian; and his son Michael Benavides. He is also lovingly remembered by his adopted family; Lyle, Laura, Lyle III, and Steven Lanphear of Evans, Colorado, who were a special and meaningful part of his later life.

Her was preceded in death by his brothers, Juan (Alice) Benavides, Adolfo (Amelia) Benavides and Dee Brown ( the love of his life in which he spent 10 wonderful years with)

Steve will be remembered for his kindness, humble spirit, and the quiet care he gave to those around him, His legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
