Mr. Steve Landon Bruce

Steve Landon Bruce, age 75, of Fairmount, Georgia, departed this life Tuesday morning, July 10, 2012 at the Gordon Hospital in Calhoun, Georgia. Mr. Bruce was born November 16, 1936 in Pickens County, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his father, Lester Clyde Bruce, Sr., mother, Alma Patterson Bruce Bennett. Steve was a graduate of Cartersville High School and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church in Pickens County. He is survived by his wife, Ann Bruce of the home; daughters, Holly Willis of Kennesaw, GA, Lisa Teague of Cartersville, GA; brother, Lester Clyde Bruce of Dalton, GA; sisters, Joan Bruce Goddard of Calhoun, GA; grandchildren, Madison Teague, Olivia Willis, Aaron Teague and Erica Willis; several nieces and nephews. Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Steve Bruce will be held Thursday, July 12, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Jerusalem Baptist Church with Reverend Robert Allen Reverend Melvin Godfrey and Reverend Moss Fountain officiating. He will be laid to rest in the church cemetery with Les Bruce, John Bruce, Ron Bruce, Travis White, Aaron Teague and Larry Brooks servings as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Ponders Fairmount Chapel from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and after 10:00 a.m. Thursday morning until the service hour.
