XENIA —Steve Guthrie, 76, of Xenia, passed away surrounded by family on December 18, 2025. He was married to his wife, Debbie Guthrie (Reeves), for 54 wonderful years, and together they raised a beautiful family and created a remarkable life together. Steve's legacy of strength and devotion lives on through his seven children and their spouses: Matthew (Deedie) Guthrie; Lucas (Zoe) Guthrie; Stephanie (Nathan) Morris; Abbie (Brent) Zoller; Gabriel (Stacey) Guthrie; David Guthrie; and Emma (Clayton) Sell. He was also cherished by 16 wonderful grandchildren who lovingly knew him as "Pops". He is survived by his siblings Debi (Donnie) Sanders; Diane (Kirk) Anderson; Sheri (James) Hogan; Kent (Vanessa) Jenks; Nan (Robert) Spitz; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, James Guthrie, Emma Lou Jenks (Shoup), Roger Jenks; a brother, Jay Jenks; his niece, Catie Potter; and his granddaughter, Natalee Morris. Steve was known for his generous spirit and willingness to help anyone in need, always going above and beyond for his family and friends. With skilled hands and a problem-solving mind, he could fix just about anything, which earned him a reputation as the person to call when something needed repair. He could captivate a room with his self-taught talent of playing guitar and singing, and he always had a joke on the tip of his tongue to lighten and uplift any situation. He enjoyed traveling with Debbie, Kent, and Vanessa, as well as creating lasting memories during family vacations to Venice, Florida. He was truly a one-of-a-kind man, and his presence is deeply and forever missed by those who knew and loved him. A memorial mass will be held on Jan. 31, 2026, at St Brigid Church at 10 A.M., immediately followed by a Celebration of Life party in the St. Brigid Parish Activity Center. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Steve Guthrie to Saint Brigid Church Maintenance Fund, 258 Purcell Ave. Xenia, OH 45385. Steve was a good friend in high school. We all did silly things and had so much fun. He will be greatly missed.

Although I do not believe I ever met Steve personally I have known your family since the late 70´s. And the news that you have lost such a special family member makes my heart ache for all of you. I truly hope you can lean on each other and the words of our Lord God to help you get through this difficult time and may it comfort you all. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. May Steve rest in eternal peace.
