Mr. Anthony Steve Hamrick, age 68, of Tallapoosa, GA, passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by his family, October 17, 2024. He was born November 18, 1955 in Carrollton, GA to the late Hulan Hamrick and Betty Garner Hamrick.
Steve graduated with the Haralson County High School Class of 1973. He worked as a maintenance technician for The Hon Company and retired after 40 years of service. Steve was kind, down to earth, and never met a stranger. He enjoyed being outdoors, gardening and fixing or tinkering with anything he could find. He loved his cats, his children, and especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Connie Bowman Hamrick; daughters and sons in law, Lindsey and Eric Cline and Hillary and Kaz Barkley; son and daughter in law, Jacob and Deborah Hamrick, all of Tallapoosa' grandchildren, Lilith, William, Kristopher, Francesca, Astrid, and Penelope Cline, and Mirri and James Hamrick; and sisters, Gayle McKenzie, of Cedartown, GA, and Susan Bowman, of Muscadine, AL.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 21, 2024 at 2:00PM in the Miller Funeral Home Dogwood Chapel with Bro. Jeff Layton officiating. Eric, William, and Kristopher Cline will provide music. Gentlemen serving as pallbearers will be Ernst Geisler, Marty McClain, Eric Cline, William Cline, Kris Cline, Mirri Hamrick, James Hamrick, Kaz Barkley, Jeremy Hindman, and Joe Hulsey. Honorary pallbearers will be Susan Bowman, Lilith Cline, Francesca Cline, Astrid Cline, Penelope Cline, Carl Garner, Corey Hindman, and Skye Miles. Interment will follow in Lebanon Church Cemetery in Muscadine, AL.
The family will receive friends Sunday evening at the funeral home from 6:00 to 9:00PM.
