Steve Allen Kincade, 86, of Oktaha, passed away Thursday, September 18, 2025, in Muskogee.

A memorial graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 25, 2025, at Featherston Cemetery with Dr. Danny Mills officiating. Services and cremation arrangements are entrusted to Bishop Funeral Service and Crematory, McAlester.

Steve was born June 25, 1939, in Hanna to Ermon P. and Mildred Lee (Messick) Kincade. He graduated from McAlester High School in 1957. On February 5, 1959, he married the love of his life, Norma Jean Ellis, in McAlester. Together, they shared 58 wonderful years before her passing in 2017.

At just 18, Steve began his career with the Oklahoma Department of Transportation. With hard work and dedication, he served for more than 45 years, retiring in 2001 as office manager.

Outside of work, Steve's passion was the rodeo arena. A skilled cowboy, he enjoyed riding horses and calf roping, and in 1973 he proudly served as president of the Muskogee Round Up Club. He was also an avid outdoorsman who looked forward to quail season each year, setting aside two weeks for his annual hunts.

Above all, Steve cherished his family. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were his pride and joy, and he loved nothing more than spoiling them-especially with a little cash tucked in their hands whenever he got the chance. His warm smile and generous heart made him a favorite to all who knew him.

Steve was a longtime member of Grandview Baptist Church in Muskogee, where he faithfully served the Lord and built lifelong friendships.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ermon P. and Mildred L. Kincade; his beloved wife, Norma Jean Kincade; and his brother, Raymond Kincade.

Steve is survived by his daughter, Lisa Wingo and husband Jon of Broken Arrow; son, Greg Kincade and wife Tanna of Oktaha; grandchildren, Jana Pfarr and husband Jake of Jenks, and Keely Wilson and husband Kegan of Ft. Gibson; great-grandchildren, Wrynlee Wilson, Wrylann Wilson, Juliette Pfarr, and Jackson Pfarr; brothers, Robert Kincade and wife Mary of McAlester, and Darrell Kincade and wife Carol of Metamora, Michigan; sister, Kim Lowry and husband, Patrick of Dewey; brother-in-law, Leroy Ellis; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and many dear friends.

Steve will be remembered for his steadfast faith, cowboy spirit, love of the outdoors, and the way he never missed an opportunity to make his family feel treasured.

The family would like to acknowledge the wonderful care Steve received at Countryside Assisted Living in Muskogee.
