Steve King Obituary
James Steven King, 69, of Interlachen passed away Saturday, December 27, 2025 at HCA Florida North Florida Hospital in Gainesville following an extended illness.
A native of Palatka, Steve had been a lifelong resident of Putnam County, living in both Palatka and Interlachen. He had been employed as a welder in the construction industry and was formerly employed by Palatka Shipbuilding.
In his leisure time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, working in his shop, and cooking on his grill. He also contributed to causes in support of the state of Israel and helping the Jewish people.
Steve was preceded in death by his wife, Patty King; parents, Floyd and Betty King; and a sister, Margie Alexander.
Surviving are one sister and a brother-in-law, Kathy and Charlie Smith; several nieces and nephews, including Christine Cason, Jeremie Smith, Andrea King, Miranda Rameriz, Craig Alexander and Toby Alexander; ten great nieces and great nephews; and best friend, Rene Boisseau.
