Steve Kornexl Obituary

Published by Legacy on Feb. 18, 2025.
Stephan "Steve" R. Kornexl
Age 79, of East Tawas, Michigan, passed away peacefully with family by his side on February 17, 2025. Steve was born to the late Walter and Elva (Jackson) Kornexl on June 25, 1945, in Saginaw, Michigan.
Steve spent several years as a resident of East Tawas, and he really enjoyed his time living in Northern Michigan. He volunteered his time generously to many causes and organizations around the community, and he truly believed in helping whoever needed it. Steve was a member of the United States Army, where he proudly served our country. He eventually went on to own and operate his own lawn care service in East Tawas for 30+ years, and he also worked as a woodworker. Some of Steve's favorite hobbies consisted of running, woodworking, being outdoors any chance he got, and spending quality time with his family members. He was a very caring and unselfish man who put the betterment of others before himself always, and he will be missed dearly by many.
Steve is survived by his daughter, Tammy (Tom) Brady; his grandchildren, Jeff (Bri) Brady, Kayla Brady, and Alyssa (Ryan) Clouse; and his two beautiful great grandchildren, Charlie and Jack. In addition to his parents Walter and Elva Kornexl, Steve is preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Kornexl; and his sister, Mary Schultz.
Per Steve's wishes, cremation has taken place. You may leave an online condolence at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com.
