Steven Earl Panik, age 74, of Fort Collins, CO, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, August 9, 2025. He was born on December 9, 1950, to parents Andrew and Jean (Ebbe) Panik in Chicago, Illinois. Steve married the love of his life, Sharon McClain Panik on May 25, 1974. They were married for 51 years. Together they raised their beloved son, Todd. Steve was a CSU Grad, a Park Ranger, and Deputy Sheriff for Larimer County for 22+ years. He loved the outdoors; camping, skiing, biking, hiking, and especially fishing. He enjoyed traveling throughout the world with friends and family. His grandsons were his pride and joy! Sharing his love of baseball and the Chicago Cubs with the boys has become a family tradition! Steve is survived by his wife, Sharon; son, Todd; daughter-in-law, Audra; grandsons, Brenan and Laine; lifetime friend Lee Benisek; six sisters-in-law; seven brothers-in-law and nineteen nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, parents-in-law, Robert and Phyllis McClain and his beloved uncle, Gordon Ebbe. Funeral services will be at Our Lady of the Valley 1250 7th Street Windsor, CO on Tuesday, August 26th at 11:00am with rosary at 10:00 am. Reception following. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to UCHealth Cancer Center Harmony Campus or Sisters of Notre Dame.
