Steven M Pixton - son, brother, uncle, and amazing friend - passed away on October 30, 2024.
Steve was born January 8th, 1975, to Floyd J and Glenda M Pixton in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Steve lived an adventurous life.
Raised in Millcreek UT, he moved to Sun Valley Idaho and later Portland Oregon for some adventures before moving back to Salt Lake.
His love for the outdoors turned him into an avid outdoorsman. He was always up for a hike, camping trip, kayaking, or just a day at the lake.
Steve recently enjoyed his "trip of a lifetime" with his canine traveling companion Lenore. It took him from Red Fish Lake to the Tetons, through Jackson Wyoming to his favorite spot in the Uintah's, and then down to Goblin Valley.
If you had the opportunity to know Steve, you know that his laughter and smile will be dearly missed.
Steve is survived by his dad Floyd, brothers Byron (and Carolyn), Jim (and Denise), Glen, David (and Jerica), many nieces and nephews, his life partner Amanda Thorpe, as well as friends who've become like family.
Steve was predeceased by his brother Brent, his sister Becky, and his mom Glenda.
A celebration of life will be held on November 8th from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Millcreek Chapel, 2702 East Evergreen Avenue, Salt Lake City.
The family wishes to thank all of Steve's healthcare workers for their compassionate care.
Special thanks to Chaplain Ryan, whose energy and songs eased both Steve and our souls.
