Steve Sopiwnik

Sopiwnik, Steve 79, of Monticello, died Mon. in St. Cloud. Steve had a deep love for his wife, Lucky. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing, and woodworking. He loved life and people. He was a Union Steward at Honeywell for 39 years and he had deep convictions for social justice and his religion. Preceded in death by son, Monte; his parents, Dollie & Matt; and 10 siblings. Survived by wife, Lucky; sons, Jesse (Sue) of Frederic, WI, Duke of Mpls, and Matt (Maggie) of Chinook, WA; daughters, Colleen (Lowell) of Centuria, WI, and Tracy (Kyle) Acker of Dassel; sister, Dallis of Mpls; grandchildren, Nia, Luke, Jessie, Oak, Blaise, Roscoe, Buck, Samantha, Cyrene, John, Luke and Kate; nephews, nieces, and many great friends. Visitation will be Thursday at The Peterson Chapel in St. Michael from 5-8 PM. Funeral Service will be Fri. at Trinity Lutheran church in Monticello at 10:30 AM with a visitation 1 hr. prior to the start of the service. Interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
