Steve St. Mary Jr.

Stephen Arthur "Steve" St. Mary, Jr, age 74 of Portageville, MO went to his Heavenly home on Tuesday, November 18, 2025. He was born on May 6, 1951, in New Madrid, MO to the late Steve and Allie St. Mary. He is survived by two sisters Marie Phillips (Don) of Jonesboro, AR, Betty Akins of Candler, NC and one brother Bill St. Mary (Mary) of Chaffee, MO.

He was united in marriage to the love of his life, Kathy (Hayes) St. Mary, on June 16, 1973. They were married for 52 years. Together, they have one son, Barrett St. Mary (Brittni) and two daughters, Amy Fisher (Jimmy), and Beth Richardson (Lee) all of Portageville. Their greatest blessings are their seven grandchildren Luke, Lila and Blaire Moylan, Ty St. Mary, Bronner, Jack, and Henry Richardson.

He retired from Noranda in 2014 after 38 years of service. Throughout the years, he loved watching his children and later his grandchildren doing what they loved. Whether it was baseball, football, volleyball, soccer, or softball, you could always find Papa Steve cheering for his babies- loudly. He spent many summers coaching his own children in baseball and softball in the little league program. He was an avid hunter in his early years with his dad and in his later years with his grandsons. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Portageville.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Bulldog Foundation.
