Steve Tucker Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Steve Alan Tucker, who departed this life on August 21, 2025, at the age of 70.

Born on October 7, 1954, Steve spent most of his life in Salisbury, North Carolina, where he built deep and lasting connections with family and friends. In his later years, he made his home in Carolina Beach, where he found peace in the beauty of the coast and the simple joys of seaside living.

A talented craftsman, Steve was widely known for his artistry in woodworking. His custom creations, built with both skill and care, will remain as lasting reflections of his dedication and creativity. Beyond his craft, Steve loved music, dancing, and the company of those around him. He was happiest when sharing laughter, good times, and cherished moments with the people he loved.

Steve is survived by his daughters, Jenifer Akers and her husband Andrew V. Akers, along with their children Hudson, Ava, and Bowen; and Stephanie McWhorter and her husband DeShaun McWhorter, along with her children Abigail, Taylor, and Ella. He is also survived by his longtime girlfriend, Kimberly Fields, and her children Celeste and Matthew Allen; his brother, Thomas E. Tucker Jr.; and his sisters, Judith Raub and Sherry Henderson.

Steve's family will gather privately to celebrate his life.

Though he is no longer with us, his spirit, his laughter, and the love he gave so freely will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew him.
