Steve K. Walter, age 79, of German Township, passed away Tuesday August 26, 2025. He was born in Middletown, Ohio on July 10, 1946, son of the late Mildred L. (Gross) and Carl D. Walter. As well as being a lifelong farmer he retired from Armco Steel in 1996 after 30 years of service; and was member of the Montgomery County Farm Bureau. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Larry G. Walter in 2012. Steve is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Betty Jo (Smith) Walter; his son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Annie Walter; his daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Jerry Frame; 2 grandchildren, Reina and Levi Frame. A Visitation will be held 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., Tuesday September 2, 2025, at the Dalton Funeral Home, 6900 Weaver Road, Germantown, Ohio. A Graveside service will follow at 12:45 p.m., at Fairview Cemetery in Gratis, Ohio. Please share condolences at daltonfh.net

Remember him best farming in the fields across from our home. I always loved to see the tractor or combine crest the hill with the sun shining behind. Uncle Steve was so kind and will be missed. Praying for friends and family.
