Steven "Steve" Yourchak of Black Heath, passed away Sunday, September 21, 2025 at LVHN Schuylkill East.

Born in Primrose December 21, 1928, he was a son of the late John and Annie (Drobick) Yourchak.

He attended Cass Township Schools before joining the US Army in 1947. Following his Army service, he served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He then went on to work at the post billeting division at Fort Indiantown Gap.

Steve was a member of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, Minersville, South Cass Fire Company, American Legion Post 544 and Amvets Post 72.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Andrew Yourchak in 1999 and Walter Yourchak in 2004; stepbrothers Frank Marchowsky, Stanley Marchowsky, Joseph Marchowsky and John Marchowsky.

Surviving are neighbors and caregivers, Traci, JT and Kameron Thomas along with his angels at Schuylkill Center Sue, Anna, Dottie and Chrissy.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, September 26, 2025 from Dutcavich Funeral Home & Cremation Care, 200 Sunbury Street, Minersville, PA 17954. Reverend Mark Fesniak will be officiating. Friends may call from 10:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Nicholas Ukrainian Church Memorial Fund, 415 North Front Street, Minersville, PA 17954 or South Cass Citizens Fire Company, 14 Water Lane, Pottsville, PA 17901. Burial will be in St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Llewellyn. Visit www.dutcavich.com
