Steven Alvarado Obituary
April 1, 1998 – February 4, 2026
It is with profound sadness that the family of Steven Michael Alvarado announces his sudden passing on February 4th, 2026 at the age of 27.
Steven graduated from Tom C. Clark High School in 2016 and earned an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Human Services – Addiction Counseling from San Antonio College while being recognized as a Distinguished Graduate in 2024. His kind heart and caring spirit enabled him to help countless people with addiction and mental health issues get the help they needed. He never hesitated to help someone in need, many times working tireless hours late into the night. His own personal experiences drove him to help others and he once said there was no greater reward than watching the miracles that take place in the treatment industry.
In his spare time, Steven loved sports, both watching and playing them. There was no sport that Steven wasn't willing to try, and when he did try, he put all his heart and soul into it until he perfected his game, much like he did with everything he was passionate about in life. His infectious laugh and mischievous smile made him friends everywhere he went. His family was everything to him and his beautiful baby girl, Olivia, was his pride and joy.
Steven is survived by his loving wife, Alyssa, and their beautiful daughter, Olivia Elizabeth, as well as his mother, Gina Valorz, his father, Gregory Alvarado, his brother, Gregory Matthew Alvarado, his grandfather, Gregorio Alvarado, and numerous loving aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his beloved grandmothers, Linda Vela and Flora Alvarado.
Steven's life on this earth was cut far too short, but his sweet spirit and kind heart will continue to live on through all who were blessed to know him.
A Visitation will begin at 11:00 am and Funeral Service will be celebrated at 12:00 pm Friday, February 13, 2026 at the Fred J. Tips Mausoleum Chapel, located at Mission Burial Park North 20900 I-10, San Antonio, TX 78257

To the Alvarado family, my deepest condolences on the loss of our beloved Steven. He was such a sweet, kind, loving and all around great young man. And to my sweet Alyssa and beautiful Olivia, my heart breaks for you all. We are family and we will keep you all in prayer.
