Steven Bowman Obituary

Steven Wayne Bowman, 71, of Milford, passed away Friday, October 10, 2025, at home. He was born in Covington, the son of the late Charles Daniel and Anna Mae Bowman.

Steve, aka 'Bolt', was a proud graduate of Covington Catholic High School and served his country honorably in the United States Army. He built a life in Latonia with his former wife, Tonya Bowman, who preceded him in death.

During that time, he served as a branch 59 Letter Carrier and retired from the U.S. Postal Service after decades of service in Northern Kentucky. His dedication to his route went far beyond delivering mail. While serving the Latonia community, he noticed when one of his elderly neighbors on his route was in distress and acted quickly to get her help from first responders. He was later honored by the Mayor of the City of Covington with a Key to the City and by the U.S. Postal Service for the service and compassion he showed to his community every day.

He is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Jones (Randy), Chelsea Taylor (Justin), and Tiaria Perrill (Charles); his grandchildren, Isabel, Nathan, Kennedy, Maddisen, Carson, Jane, Abigail, and Adaline; his great-granddaughter, Lilah; and his brother, John ‘Jack’ Bowman, and sisters; Connie Means, Debbie Reeves, Christine Schappert, and Mary Ann Wade; and was preceded in death by brother Charles ‘Danny’ Bowman and sisters Anna Mae Bowman and Bennette Coffee. He is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews.

He will be remembered for his love of family, sense of humor, and the genuine kindness he shared with everyone he met.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, October 17, 2025, at Floral Hills Funeral Home, Chapel A, where visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
