It is with great sadness that we share the news of our beloved son, brother, stepbrother, uncle, nephew, loved one and friend, Steven. He was predeceased in death by his paternal grandparents, Gilbert and Ruth Burton; his maternal grandparents Richard and Jean Flannery; the special love he shared with Dylan Baldassare, along with other aunts and uncles including: James Rauber, Robert Flannery and Lynne Ford.
Steven is survived by his mother Wendy (Flannery, Burton) and stepfather John Streb along with his father David (Cindy) Burton. Jessica Reisinger shared a very special and loving bond with Steven along with her children. Their hearts will be forever impacted.
He is also survived by his siblings Matthew (Rebecca) Burton, Kerry (Chad) Fikes, Shawn (Jennifer Lynn Jackson) Burton, Kim (Chris) Hussong, and stepsister Elyse (Todd) Wagner. Nephews and nieces: Thomas (Didi Laughlin) Streber, Cameron (Jasmine Martinez) Fikes, Abigail (Ivan Anaya) Burton, Faith (Philip Wadsworth) Burton, Andrew Fikes, Kayla Hussong, Brady Hussong and Aiden Wagner. Steven is also survived by his aunts and uncle: Carolyn (Flannery) Rauber, Mary Ellen (Henner) Flannery, Michael Flannery, Suzanne Flannery and Ruth Burton. Many dear cousins and friends will mourn his loss.
Steven loved many things. He loved the beauty of quiet woods, fishing, hunting, bike riding, and walking along the pier at Charlotte. He loved his dogs, especially his new puppy Capone. He also loved to cook and bake. He was gifted with a talented and wise brain. He graduated from Universal Technical Institute with honors and had been a certified Subaru mechanic. He dabbled in metal work and excelled in construction work. There wasn’t much of anything he couldn’t do.
We are grateful for all of those who cared for Steven at RRH Greece/Unity. His loving smile and heartfelt hugs will be missed dearly. We know we have a new angel watching over us, and for that we are grateful.
