Medford - Steven Patrick Clark, 74, of Medford, MN, passed away unexpectedly on July 7, 2025. He was a proud and loving husband, father, grandfather, friend and veteran.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 16, 2025, from 4:00-7:00 PM at Medford Funeral Home (310 East Central Ave, Medford). Funeral Service will be Thursday, July 17, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Medford Funeral Home, with visitation continuing one hour prior to the service. Military honors will be provided by the Steele County Funeral Unit.
Steve was born on November 2, 1950, in Owatonna, MN, to George and Evelyn (O'Leary) Clark. He grew up on the family farm in Claremont, MN. After graduating from Claremont High School in 1968, he served honorably during the Vietnam War from 1970 to 1971 in the 1st Cavalry Division, where he bravely earned a Bronze Star and received a Certification of Appreciation from President Nixon.
Steve was united in marriage to Lorri Blume on July 6, 1974, at St. Francis de Sales Church in Claremont. The couple moved to Medford, where they raised their son, Dennis. Steve was a devoted, loving, and caring husband and father. He was also a proud grandpa to his granddaughter Ava and loved to spend time with her and have "their talks."
Steve built a career in industrial roofing, working for Malo Roofing for over 30 years. After retiring, he worked part-time for the City of Medford.
He served on the City of Medford Veterans Committee and helped establish the Medford Veteran's Memorial.
Steve loved hunting with his son Dennis and friends, fishing, and spending time with family. He offered quiet strength through any of life's challenges. He would share stories and loved having great conversations with anyone he encountered. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Lorri; son, Dennis (Jennifer) Clark; granddaughter, Ava Clark; siblings, Sharon Thiemann, Ginny (Brian) Busch; mother in-law, Dorris Blume; brother in-law, Allen Blume; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Evelyn Clark; siblings, Kay (Earl) Hanson, Jean (Gary) Leeper, and Judy Clark; and father-in-law, Elmer Blume.
