Steven Harvey Cryderman

Steven Harvey Cryderman, age 69, of Dafter, Michigan, died on November 29, 2025, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. He was born on September 24, 1956, in Sault Ste. Marie, to William and Mary (Fields) Cryderman.

Steven grew up in Dafter and graduated from Brimley High School. After graduation, he joined the United States Army for three years, during which he earned a Marksmanship Sharpshooter M16 badge and an Army Commendation Medal. After his honorable discharge, Steven returned home and continued his education in construction and diesel mechanics at a local college. He later worked for the Michigan Department of Corrections as an officer for a couple of years until health challenges prevented him from continuing his career.

As a young child, Steven was an enthusiastic participant in the 4-H Club and took pride in showing his award-winning Hereford steers. Throughout his life, he enjoyed wood carving and collecting antique tools, hobbies that brought him peace and purpose.

Steven is survived by his sister, Cynthia (Rick) Ojala; brother, Robert Cryderman; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Steven was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary Etta.

Per his wishes, no services will be held.

Steven's final resting place is at Oaklawn Chapel Gardens in Bruce Township.
