Steven graduated an honor student from W.O. Boston High School class of 1972 and spent a short time in the United States Air Force. He was employed at Christus St. Patrick Hospital for 20 years where he retired. Due to his failing health, he resided at the Colfax Reunion Nursing & Rehabilitation until his passing. Steven was a devoted member and deacon at Lake Charles Seventh-Day Adventist Church until his health prevented him from attending.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Steven & Beatrice Doshier Duhon, stepfather, Lawrence Duhon, brothers; PFC Charles S. Doshier & Louis B. Doshier, wife, Ruth Reynolds Doshier, paternal great-grandparents, Dominique & Mary Bishop, paternal grandparents, John "Bud" Doshier & Lillie Doshier Sykes, 1 paternal aunt, Mary "Penny" Dancy, maternal grandparents, Hebert Jones & Bertha Jones Furman.
Survivors include one sister, Deborah Doshier, one brother, Eric (Mona Lisa) Doshier all of Lake Charles; two nieces, Erika (Ryan) Garrison and Tywanna (Alex) Dushime in Denham Springs, LA; six nephews; Charles S. Doshier Jr of Dallas, TX, Jacob (Meagan) Rougeau, Joshua (Stacy) Rougeau of Lafayette, LA, Devan (Danielle) Doshier of Houston, TX, Christopher (Isabella) Doshier of Tucson, AZ and Jeremy (Bareka) Edwards of Lake Charles along with great nieces and nephews and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
