Steven Echard Obituary
Steven was born on March 30, 1954, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Wanda and Kenneth Echard. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy, proudly serving his country. Following his military service, Steven found a fulfilling career as an over-the-road truck driver, traveling the country and meeting many friends along the way.
In his free time, Steven enjoyed the open road on his Harley, often riding alongside his beloved wife, Carolyn. He had a deep love for classic cars and cherished attending old car shows whenever he could. His passion for adventure, family, and his love for life will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
Steven is survived by his wife, Carolyn Echard, and his three stepchildren: Desiree and David Jones of Talihina, OK; Jason and Leighanne Patterson of Talihina, OK; and Jessica and Gary Sigler of Whitesboro, OK. He also leaves behind 11 grandchildren: Jayla, Allyssa, Ethan, Makinley Jones, Nevaeh, Jagger, and Jaden Sigler; Keenan, Krisalyn, Kali, and Kalan Patterson; and one great-grandchild due in 2026. He is also survived by his nephew, Brian Echard and wife Angela Echard, sister Patricia Haas and husband David, nieces Natalie Dolan, Alicia Shaw, Michael Haas, and Kaitlyn Raab, Christina Hayden and husband Michael. as well as his brother, Mark Echard and wife Sheila.
Steven was preceded in death by his parents, Wanda and Kenneth Echard; his brother Darrell Echard and his wife Jennifer.
Pallbearers will be Jason Patterson, David Jones, Gary Sigler, Jaden Sigler, Ethan Jones, Shawn Johnson, and Jagger Sigler.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at McCarn Funeral Service in Talihina, Oklahoma.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Whitesboro Cemetery in Whitesboro, Oklahoma with Rev. Chuck Schilling officiating. Services have been entrusted to McCarn Funeral Service.
