Steven Edward Frye, 29, of Huntingdon, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Penn Highlands Huntingdon. Born February 21, 1996, in Scranton, he was a son of Laurie L. (Baldwin) Frye (Susquehanna), and the late John M. Frye. He was united in marriage to his best friend, Cheyanne Dakota Snyder on May 22, 2021 in Huntingdon. His wife survives at their residence.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two biggest accomplishments, his two sons, Easton Edward Frye and Aiden Dakota Frye, as well as his special pup buddy, Forrest. He is also survived by his brother Michael Frye and fiancée, Anja Whitehead, (Thompson), and sister Emily Frye and fiancé, Keldon Merkel, (Richland); maternal grandmother, Rhondra Baldwin, paternal grandmother, Diane Frye, parents-in-law, Deb and Dave Snyder, sisters-in-law, Cheryl Foster, Amanda Herncane, Ashley Snyder, Aubrey Snyder and husband, Dustin Himes, brothers-in-law, Sean Foster and wife, Kathleen, and Elliot Foster; Uncle Joseph and Jayne Frye, Aunt Beatrice Frye and Uncle Jeffery and Monique Baldwin, as well as, many loving cousins and great friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Adrian "Stubby" Baldwin, paternal grandfather, Gerald "Joe" Frye and Aunt Kristine Baldwin.
Steven was an avid member of the Smithfield Volunteer Fire Co. and was also a member of the Thompson Hose Company and the West Hanover Township Fire Company.
He was a 2014 graduate of Susquehanna Community High School, and was currently employed as a welder for Meeker Equipment Company Inc.
Steven was an outdoor enthusiast who, like his father, developed a love for bass fishing and hunting. He also had a passion for inventing and fabrication, enjoyed racing, especially dirt track while rooting for "Big Brother" Danny Stone, but his biggest passion was being a true Notre Dame football fan. Above all, he was an outstanding father who enjoyed spending time with his family, especially two beloved sons, Easton and Aiden.
Friends will be received from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Friday, April 25, 2025, at the John B. Brown Funeral Home, 417 Washington St., Huntingdon, PA 16652.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in remembrance of Steven E. Frye may be made to the Smithfield Volunteer Fire Co., 10 Firehouse Ln., Huntingdon, PA, 16652.
