Steven Ray Gonzales

July 28, 1991 - September 1, 2025

With broken hearts, we announce the sudden and tragic passing of Steven Ray Gonzales, who lost his life in a car accident on September 1, 2025, at the age of 34.

Steven was the first born son of Yvonne Gonzales and Uland Fields, and was lovingly raised by his bonus father, Michael May. He lived a life full of love, laughter, loyalty, and grit, a man deeply devoted to his family and those he called his own.

He was a devoted brother, a proud uncle, a beloved nephew, and beloved cousin known for his loyalty, warmth, and that unforgettable smile that could light up any room. He was a true family man, always showing up with a servant's heart and making sure those around him felt loved and supported.

Steven also took great pride in his business and work, leading with dedication, hustle, and strong values. He poured his heart into everything he did, inspiring others through his actions and kindness.

One of the most special bonds in Steven's life was with his only nephew, Gavyn M. Gonzales. The two shared a one-of-a-kind connection and a playful nickname, they lovingly called each other "biscuit." That simple word held so much love between them, a beautiful reminder of how Steven's heart always made people feel seen and special.

Steven often lived by his own words:

"Keep rolling till the wheels fall off."

A testament to the way he moved through life with strength, determination, and heart.

And he always reminded others:

"I'm not above you, I'm not beneath you, I'm right here with you."

That was Steven, grounded, loyal, and always beside the people he loved.

He is preceded in death by Joe T. Gonzalez, Louis Gonzales Jr, Veronica Rosales, Lelia Mae Fields, Evangelina Torres, Mitchell Nowling and is survived by his parents, siblings (Yolanda E. Gonzales, Michael P. May, Savannah Williams, Lindsay J. U. Fields, Hailey J. E. Fields, Monica I.Fields, Madeline I. Fields his cherished nephew Gavyn, and a large extended family who loved him deeply and will carry his spirit forward.

He is survived by many beloved family members which includes; Two Aunts, Ursula L. Fields, Priscilla Gonzales; Four Uncles, Ulerick D. Fields, Robert J. Gonzales, Johnny J. Sifuentes, Eric (Brenda) Sifuentes; Eleven Cousins, Themetra D. Relford, Jessica C. Relford, D'Ajinae D. Fields, Yunika C. Fields, Bry'ana Crooks, Sabrina N. Gonzales, Madison M. Sifuentes, Iliana L. Sifuentes, Gregory R. Padilla, Audrey J. Gonzales, Lilian H. Sifuentes; Two Grandmothers, Yolanda Apodaca (Arthur Rodriguez), Norma Sifuentes; Grandfather, Robert Gonzales and Great-Grandma Margaret A. Gonzalez.

Though our lives are forever changed, we take comfort in knowing that Steven is now resting in the eternal peace of our Heavenly Father.

"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." - Psalm 34:18
