Steven G. Hale, born on August 24, 1960, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2025. He will be fondly remembered for his kind spirit, infectious enthusiasm, sense of humor, and dedication to his family and friends.
Steven was a devoted husband to Nancy Hale, with whom he shared 32 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they raised their two sons, Zachary (Grace) Hale and Nicholas Hale, both of whom carry forward his legacy of love and resilience. He expressed immense pride in his family, particularly his cherished granddaughter, Lucy Hale, for whom he created countless toys through his passion for 3D printing.
Steve was retired from SPX Flow – Lightnin Mixers where he worked for 32 years as a Mechanical Designer.
A man of diverse interests, Steve enjoyed playing volleyball and golf, as well as participating in hunting and geocaching. He loved the trips he and his wife took across our country. He embraced the spirit of adventure wholeheartedly, often found exploring nature. A true testament to his playful nature, he enjoyed playing Pokémon Go, engaging both his sense of fun and his love for the outdoors. Steve was also a handyman. He enjoyed using his skills to design and build many things including a swing-set for his sons, sheds and several decks.
Steven is survived by his father, Edward (Gail) Hale, and his siblings: Gregory Hale, Jeffrey (Donna) Hale, and Kenneth (Lori) Hale. He shared a special bond with his sisters and brother-in-law, including Amy (Bruce) Branca, Karen (Stephen Petergal) Lembcke, and David (Carlene Woodworth-Lembcke) Lembcke. His doggie companion, Torrie, also provided him with much joy and love. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who cherished his warmth, guidance and friendship.
He was predeceased by his mother, Fern Hale, his in-laws Lloyd & Betty Lou Lembcke, and his sister-in-law, Florence Hale.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during visitation on March 1, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, Westside Chapel, located at 2636 Ridgeway Ave, Rochester, NY. Following the visitation, a time for Sharing of Memories will begin at 4:00 PM.

As we celebrate the life of Steven G. Hale, we remember his many contributions to our lives and the cherished moments he so generously shared with us all. He will be missed dearly but will continue to live on in our hearts and memories.
