Steven Todd "Butch" Hawk, 67 of North Catasauqua, PA, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2024, at his home with family by his side. Born April 23, 1957, in Lewistown, PA, he is the son of Raymond A. Hawk, Jr. and Mary (Nale) Hawk of Whitehall, PA. Steven was husband of Sharon (Vlaskovich) Hawk sharing 29 years of marriage.
Steven graduated Slippery Rock State College in 1981 with a bachelor's degree in environmental science. Steve was employed as a Draftsman at Monarch Precast Concrete Corp., Allentown, PA. for 24 years before retiring in 2023. Steve was very active in Boy Scouts of America. In his earlier years, he earned his Eagle Scout and was Asst. Scoutmaster (Philmont Scout Ranch, Cimarron, N.M.) for Troop #93, Northampton, PA. Steve was a 4 letter winner in high school football and wrestling, he was a custom knife maker, skilled in metal crafting and woodworking; Certified N.A.U.I. instructed scuba diver. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and archery.
Surviving with his wife and parents, are brothers, James B. Hawk of New Tripoli, PA and Brian D. Hawk of Whitehall, PA. and nieces and nephews.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday July 20, 2024 at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave. Northampton, PA 18067 with the Rev. Scott L. Shay officiating. Family and friends may call from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the service. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Contributions: May be made in his memory to, Animals in Distress, 5075 Limeport Pike, Coopersburg, PA 18036 or c/o the funeral home.
