Steven D. Johnson, 68, of Genoa, NE, lost his fight against colon cancer on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at the Genoa Long-Term Living facility.
A memorial party will be held this summer in honor of his 69th birthday. If you know, you know.

My Uncle Steve is/was the most amazing uncle. From when I was younger until just in the last few months showed up for me many times. Couple of favorite memories. When I was younger I would go and spend the night with them and he always made the best popcorn with extra butter and salt. (So as I type this here´s to you Uncle Steve, I am having that popcorn). -My next favorite memory is when he surprised my family and I and showed up to watch Tandon play baseball. He downloaded the game changer app and again showed up! At the last game I got to see him at he brought me a beautiful quilt that my Aunt Missy Crocheted for my grandmother. His exact words I know you will love this just as much as gma did, I would love for you to have it! Of course I cried! Uncle Steve you leaving this world has left a huge whole in my heart. But I know you will keep showing up when I need you! I love you and you will forever be missed!
