Doc treated my father, my father-in-law and my sister-in-law. He was alway positive and pleasant. Would like to have known him outside of his practice. Thoughts & prayers to the family. Truly a great loss to humanity. May God bless.

I have a memory of Steve from the 1st week he came to Charleston, and sauntered into my bookstore.
His love for books was the beginning of our friendship,
which has remained close
throughout the years. sharing books was a continuing joy for us.
we also shared a love for music, and participated together in orchestra &
other performing events.
In a professional capacity
Steve was king of the hill.
His manner, skill, and expertise was "top notch."
Steve's ability to combine
and intertwine His life's work
with His life's purpose
( which was helping people)
is more than notable.
Proud and honored to have Steve as my friend.
rest in power& peace

How to define the dimensions of Steve...Always curious. Interested. Patient. Kind. Inclusive. Introspective. Steve was a man of science and practitioner of healing. But also a world traveler who set foot on all but one continent on earth...Antarctica escaped his quest. A lover of music. Violin and piano were his fortes. Tennis another. And his love of art filled his office with stacks of the beautiful landscape paintings he embarked on in his lifetime.
And the many books...medical...biographies....more books than humanly possible creating a maze of "stacks" throughout of his Charleston home...Peppered with bookmarks and notes. And his writings. He made many presentations at his beloved Anvil Club.
So how to speak about our departed friend Steve...So many interests and depths to that wonderful man of science and art that we´ve been gifted by knowing him. He made every day a "magical day" for others. From Cincinnati to Madison to Boston to DC to Charleston, he gave us a front row seat to a life of dedication and goodness.
So difficult to say goodbye.
He was (and will be) a cherished friend forever.

I first became a patient of Dr Jubelirer's in 1989 and through the years, his medical care, compassion and kindness changed how I saw myself as a cancer patient. I knew I could trust him. He was also the most intelligent and interesting man and no matter the topic we discussed he seemed to have a book on it that he'd love to share. He has been in my prayers every single day for years and I'll miss knowing he's here. The world was a better place with him in it. My prayers will now be for his family and all who loved him. Rest In Peace dear Dr Jubelirer.

I worked at Medical Center Pharmacy years ago when the Cancer Center was located in that same building. Dr. Jubelirer use to come in and buy things and was the kindest person. He has helped so many people and was so loved by many. Although I didn´t see him after I left my job, I will always remember him being a charming, kind, friendly human being that lived his job and helping others. May he rest in God´s loving arms. Your memory will be eternal.
