Mr. Steven Anthony Keel died on September 20, 2025, in Gainesville, Georgia.

Born January 29, 1959, in Nashville, Tennessee to Glenda Sweat Keel and the late Vernon Cliff Keel. After graduating from Gainesville High School in Gainesville, Georgia he attended Middle Tennessee State University. He graduated from MTSU with a degree in aerospace engineering with a minor in business. He fell in love with the sales side of the trucking industry and was a salesman until he retired. During this time, Tony made a positive impact with his gift to communicate and foster relationships with others. His talent could be expressed as being able to talk to a brick wall and have a good conversation. He spent his free time enjoying nature as an avid outdoorsman, watching NASCAR races and enjoying vacations with loved ones.

In addition to his father, Tony was preceded in death by sister-in-law Bobbie Keel and followed in death by his brother Terry Keel.

Tony is survived by his mother, Glenda Sweat Keel, Sister Teresa Keel Hicks and her husband Todd Hicks. He is survived by his oldest son Buck Keel and his wife Ashley Keel and their children. Additionally, he is survived by his daughter, Madison Keel, and his youngest son, Hunter Keel. Lastly, he is survived by his grandchildren: Rylee, Nolan, Ellie, Tori, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Tony was my confidant and best friend for the last 9 years. He was the best friend you could ever hope for, as long as you were a decent, honest person. The last tome we talked, he had just finished fishing on the dock. I will always miss you, bud. My sincere sympathy goes out to the Keel family. He will be missed by all.

Tony was a good friend during our time together at Yancey Power. We enjoyed the trucking industry at work and our love of the outdoors away from work. We reconnected in recent months amid his health challenges and I am glad to have had some time with him before he left us. His last message to me came from the dock while fishing; I will hold on to that as I remember him.
