Steven Gary Killian, 59, of Shillington, passed away February 23, 2025 in the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia surrounded by his family.
Born in Reading, he was a son of Joan L. (Schaeffer) Killian and the late Gary W. Killian.
He was a 1983 graduate of Governor Mifflin High School and a former volunteer firefighter with the Keystone Fire Co. # 1 of Shillington. Steve was a Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles fan. He loved photography, specifically taking photos at various fire scenes and everything nature. Steve was known as the resident handyman, never hesitating to help his family, neighbors, and friends. He enjoyed being outdoors, always with a scanner by his side. Of everything Steve did, taking care of his parents was always his priority.
He is survived by his mother Joan, his sisters – Marcy L. wife of George Smith, Sinking Spring, Beth A. Killian, West Reading, and his nieces and nephews – Daulton Smith, Megan Smith fiancé of Dominic Garipoli, Lyndsay Killian and Kali Smith.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Pleasant View Cemetery, 650 Fritztown Road, Sinking Spring. Rev. Dr. Harry S. Bohn, Jr. will officiate. In lieu of flowers, please honor Steven by contributing to the Keystone Fire Co. # 1, 221 Catherine St., Shillington, PA 19607. The family requests that those attending should feel free to wear Phillies or Eagles attire.
