Marquis, Steven Joseph (11/26/1966 – 1/7/2024)
With great sorrow and a heavy heart, the Marquis, Miller, Michel, and Madera families announce the passing of our kind, brave, and loving son, brother, and uncle, Steven Joseph Marquis.
Steve is predeceased by his father, Duane Joseph Marquis. Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Patricia Marquis, and three sisters; Lauri and her husband, Ron Miller; Sheri and her husband, Art Michel, and their children Sarah, Alexander, and Austin; and Robin and her husband, David Madera, and their children Jennifer, Emily, and Caitlin. Steve was also loved and is remembered by three grandnieces and three grandnephews.
Steve was a lifelong resident of Glen Burnie, Maryland, where he lived his life to the fullest. Steve was fiercely independent and determined. Whatever he set his mind to accomplish, he did. He provided neighborhood lawn service and loved being outdoors. Steve was known for his friendliness, riding his scooter everywhere, enjoying car shows, and racing his radio-controlled cars. He never met a stranger. To him, every person was just a friend he had not yet met. Steve made an impact on many lives, and he will be greatly missed.
Family and friends are invited to gather at the Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, PA, 1 2nd Avenue SW ( at Crain Highway), Glen Burnie, MD 21061 on Saturday, January 13, 2024 from 2:00 to 3:00 pm where a Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 pm. Steve’s Inurnment will be held at a later date privately. In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made in his name to the Hospice of the Chesapeake, Pasadena, MD or the American Kidney Foundation.
