Steven D. Massingill

Mr Steven Dewayne Massingill, age 54, stepped into eternal life on December 10th, 2024, after a lengthy illness. Steven was born July 29,1970 in Guntersville, AL to Homer Massingill and Brenda Lawson Massingill. He attended school at Douglas and was a 1988 High School Graduate. He attended Wallace State Community College and pursued a career as a machinist. He was an avid reader, self taught in building computers, knowing guns from every era and all things gun related. He enjoyed shooting ranges from an early age and especially traveling with his dad and brother, and friends to gun shows, & shooting ranges. Steven was a Life Member of the NRA, a staunch supporter of law enforcement, & the 2nd amendment. He loved God, Country, and Freedom.
Steven was one of a kind genuine. He fought with valor through this battle for life. A beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, Uncle, cousin, and friend. He is survived by his Pop, Homer Massingill, his Mother, Brenda Padgett (Randal) brother, Daniel Massingill (Tiffany), nephew Logan Cox, his niece, Laney Claire Massingill and a host of beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Jack Massingill and Pansy Holderfield, Maternal grandparents, Bill Lawson and Elnora Brown Lawson.
Visitation will be Friday, December 13, 2024 at 12:30 PM for family and 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM for friends at Adams Brown Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held following the visitation at Mount Olive Cemetery, Albertville, AL
