Steven “Stevie” Patrick McCray was born on September 21, 1968 in Fort Worth, Texas to the late Billie Dean Record and James Hall McCray. He passed away on April 28, 2025 in Cleburne, Texas at the age of 56.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Steven is survived by his sons, Patrick Cody McCray and wife, Lauren; and Zach McCray; grandchildren, Jagger, Chandler, Cooper, and Porter; brother, Scott Dyson and wife, Dalinda; brother, Greg Dyson; and sister, Lisa Tennison; companion, Sheri Powell Whitmire; and numerous nieces and nephews. Stevie was known for his humor, always making you laugh. He loved to sing and dance with no cares of who’s watching.
Visitation for friends and family will be held from 5:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at Alpine Funeral Home located at 2300 N. Sylvania Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas 76111.
