Leah Nicole Wright

Leah Nicole (Walker) Wright, 39, passed away on February 26, 2026, in Fort Worth Texas. She was born on April 1, 1986, in Jacksonville, North Carolina to her loving parents, Don and Tina Walker. 

Leah was, above all else, a devoted and loving mother. Her greatest joy in life was her two boys, Jack and Knox Wright. She treasured every moment spent with them, whether playing, laughing, shopping, or simply being together. Her sons will forever remember her constant desire to be near them, her deep compassion, and the way she made them feel completely loved and seen. She shared her sons with their father, Steven Wright, with whom she remained close. 

She was graduate of University of Texas at Arlington, and graduated with a bachelor of Science in Nursing. Leah dedicated her professional life to caring for others as a nurse, serving in both the NICU and CVICU. Her intelligence, skill, and tender heart made her an exceptional caregiver to the tiniest and most vulnerable patients. Nursing was not just her profession, it was an expression of her compassionate spirit.

Leah had a big heart and a beautiful presence. She was smart, loving, and known for her deep affection for her “fur babies.” She found joy in shopping trips, beach vacations filled with sand and sunshine, working out, and watching YouTube videos of animals doing silly things, which never failed to make her laugh. She also had a gift for music and played the flute beautifully.

She is survived by her cherished sons, Jack and Knox Wright; their father, Steven Wright; her parents, Don and Tina Walker; her brother, Donald Walker Jr., his wife Zara Walker, and their children Blake, Sienna, and Trey. She also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who loved her dearly.

Leah’s legacy lives on most powerfully in her boys, in the love she poured into them, the compassion she modeled, and the countless memories she created. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered as a devoted mother, a beloved daughter, and a nurse who gave her heart in service to others.

We are deeply grateful for the overwhelming love and generosity shown to our family during this incredibly difficult time. The kindness expressed through prayers, messages, meals, and financial support has lifted a burden we simply could not carry alone. Every contribution toward the funeral services and support for Jack and Knox has made a meaningful difference.
