Mary was born January 14, 1948 in Bryan, Texas to Gordon Stanley Clark and Mary Jo Langlitz Clark. She graduated from Eastland high school and ACU and Tarleton Colleges, and worked as a coach, teacher in several Texas towns, later in life even owning her own upholstery shop in Eastland.

Survivors include her sister, Julia Cathlene Dudley; and two great nieces; Hailey and Hannah Clark; and one niece; Monica Golding and her husband, John of Utah; and numerous cousins.

Mary Margaret was a Bible scholar. She was a student who loved to learn. She loved the history of Old English, the writings of Shakespeare, and reading about the Crusades.

Mary was a prolific poet and accomplished artist, while being a savvy business woman. She was multi-talented. She also raised livestock, dogs, and exotic birds. She painted houses. She landscaped her home and decorated the interior. Among the great things she planned, hired workers, and supervised the building of the activity building at Harmony Baptist Church.

Mary Margaret was as good a sister as anyone could ask for. She and Cathy took care of each other for the last 6 years. In those years she enjoyed playing board games, putting puzzles together, coloring adult coloring books and viewing classic movies and others. To her niece, nephew, and two great nieces, and to many in the community, she was a friend and mentor. She is loved, and will be greatly missed.
