Mr. Steven McCullough, Sr. was born August 20, 1957 in Dade City, Florida to the late Walter McCullough and Elsie Mae Stewart. Steven was educated in the public school system of Pasco County where he met and made many lasting friendships. Steven was affectionately known to many as, "Stevie", Daddy", "Unk", and "Uncle". Stevie enjoyed driving trucks for a living and mowing grass in his spare time. Stevie found joy in being with his brothers, David and Gary a.k.a., "The 3 Stoogers". He also enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; who will miss him dearly. Stevie accepted Christ as his Personal Lord and Savior at an early age. He was a long time member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church of Zephyrhills, Florida, under the leadership of Rev. Adrian Gay. Stevie was an active member of the church, serving on the Usher Board, singing in the choir, and working on the Kitchen Committee. He was recently elevated to Deacon-Elect, waiting to officially be ordained as Deacon of the church. Stev departed this life on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at Advent Health, Dade City, Florida, surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by: his grandmother, Beatrice Hand; brother, Minister Ronald Stewart, Sr.; and his grandson, Patrick Nelson. He is survived by: his beloved wife, Tonya McCullough of Dade City, Florida; a devoted daughter, Sonya Sims (Brian) of Zephyrhills, Florida; loving sons, Kenneth McCullough (Lisa) of Dechert, Maryland, Steven McCullough, Jr. and Jonathan McCullough, Sr. both of Zephyrhills, Florida, Lorenzo Bailey of Marietta, Georgia, and Eric "EJ" Sullivan, Jr. of Kingsland, Georgia; sister, Lurease Bailey (Terry, Sr.) of Lakeland, Florida; brothers, David McCullough, Sr. (Doris) of Tampa, Florida, and Kenneth "Gary" McCullough, Sr. (Charlotte) of Zephyrhills, Florida; aunts, Mary Alice Johnson (Ervin) of Tampa, Florida, Ora Mae Green of Southeast, Maryland, Emma Lue Gibbs of Woodbine, Georgia, Loretta D. Bailey of Folkston, Georgia, and Jean Rochelle of Pensacola, Florida; uncles, Samuel McCullough, Sr. of Rochester, New York, and Freeman Hand of Zephyrhills, Florida; sisters-in-law, Phoebe Walker (Terry) of Levittown, Pennsylvania, Priscilla Bailey (Teaa) of Bristol, Pennsylvania, Traci Ross of Hillard, Florida, and Bridgette Bailey of Duluth, Georgia; brothers-in-law, Joel Hannans of Stone Mountain, Georgia, Slyvester "Man" Bailey (Robin) of Augusta, Georgia, Clifford "Bubba" Waye of Kingsland, Georgia; special mothers-in-law, Lauretta Randolph of White Oak, Georgia, Charlene Bailey of Stone Mountain, Georgia, and Shirley McLeod of Levittown, Pennsylvania; special friends, John Hitt (Michelle), Slyvester Wright ("Sly") all of Plant City, Florida, Eva Jefferson of St. Marys, Georgia, Larry Roberts of Dade City, Florida, and Earl Holmes of Orlando, Florida; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other sorrowing relatives and friends.
