Steven G. Mensch, 74, of Oconomowoc, died Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at Aurora Zilber Family Hospice in Wauwatosa. He was born September 17, 1951 in Fond du Lac, the son of Wilmer and Ruth (Oldfield) Mensch. On March 25, 1972 he married Connie K. Kosloske at Salem United Methodist Church in Fond du Lac.
Steve was dedicated to constant career development beginning at MATC in 1972; later earning his bachelor's degree from Cardinal Stritch in 1989. He retired from GE Healthcare as an MRI engineer in 2019. He was a member of Hales Corners Lutheran Church. Steve enjoyed his cars, especially the MG he restored, and watching old westerns. He was a self-taught woodworker filling their house with furniture he built. Steve was the go-to handy man for family, friends, and neighbors.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Connie; his son, Adam (Kristina) Mensch; two beloved grandchildren, Grace Mensch and Caroline Mensch. He is further survived by his brother, Robert (Veronica) Mensch; brothers and sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, William (Faith) Mensch and Richard Mensch.
The visitation will be held Wednesday, March 4, 2026 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Estabrooks Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Steve’s name can be made to Aurora Zilber Family Hospice.
