Steven Mark Persig, 66, of Proctor, passed away on Wednesday July 24, 2024, in the Solvay Hospice House. He was born on November 11, 1957, in Grand Rapids, MN to Bruce and Doris Persig. Steve worked for Altec in Technical Support for 20 years plus. He loved to go fishing, hunting, and spoiling his grandchildren and grand dogs with many gifts and love. Steve loved cars and watching car shows.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers-in-law Roger Sterle and Ken Ellison, niece Amanda Persig, his fiancé Shelia Oachs-Kosel, and grand dog Hinckley Belle.
He is survived by his daughters Amber (Tim) Doherty and Lacey (Terry) Mante, grandchildren Aiden Mikulich, Kloe Mante, and Ashton Mante, grand dogs Gus and Diva Doherty, and Marley. Siblings Judy (Roland) Ellison, Joan Sterle, Gary (Loretta) Persig, and Kevin Tracy) Persig, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday August 1st, from 10AM until the 11AM Memorial Service in Dougherty Funeral Home, 600 E. 2nd St. Duluth, MN 55805. 218-727-3555.
