Steven Dane Samford

It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of our devoted husband and proud father and cherished friend. He was a man whose life was defined by the love he gave to his family and the joy he found in the simple moments. He treasured family above all else. He took great pride in being a father and found happiness in watching his son grow and sharing life experiences together. He had a passion for cooking and was happiest when preparing meals for the ones he loved. In his quiet moments he enjoyed fishing, often finding peace at the beach. He also loved traveling and taking vacations creating memories with his family and embracing the opportunity to explore new places. He was also a sports fan who loved Golf, NASCAR, and football. He will be remembered for his humor, his dedication to his family, and the memories he created with those who he loved. His presence will be deeply missed, but the love he shared and the lessons he taught will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. He leaves behind his loving wife Gayle, devoted son Cortland (fiancé Kalie), his dog Tony, his father and stepmother Steve and Marcy Samford, his mother and stepfather Dee and Dan Starr, his brother Jarrod (wife Brandi), and many other family and friends who will forever cherish the they time spent together.
