Steven R. Schaffer

Steven R. Schaffer, 63, of Easton, PA passed away peacefully on September 29, 2022 in his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born on April 19, 1959, he was the son of Marion (Dimmis) Schaffer Day and the late Robert Schaffer. Steven graduated from Wilson High School, class of 1977, where he won the State Championship for High Jump and then earned his Bachelor's Degree in Science from Ursinus College in 1981. He then went on to teach Chemistry, Physics, and coach soccer. Steven loved the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, The Hobbit, and Pink Floyd.
Steven was as former member of Calvary Baptist Church, in Easton.
In addition to his mother, Steven is survived by his son, Timothy Schaffer and wife, Alyson of Bethlehem, PA,; brothers, Scott Schaffer and wife, Catherine of West Easton, PA, Jeffry Schaffer and wife, Mary, of Nicolasville, KY, Matthew Schaffer and wife, Kelly of West Easton, PA; granddaughters, Lily and Leila, and his best friend and Legal Guardian, Susan Boggus.
Graveside services will be on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at 1:00 p.m in Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp., PA.
