"Let the Word go forth from this time and place" that a human being can prevail because he or she has a soul capable to believe in God ... to love God ... and to love & commit to others. That is the legacy of Father Steven Scheier. May Christ and His Mother, our Lady of perfection, grand us all that same grace, which was bestowed upon Father Steven, in order to gain eternal life.

Father Scheier,
You prayed for our family everyday and offered Mass for us too! We are so glad you came into our lives. First by your story on the Mother Angelica show in 1997 and then when we met you in person to thank you for changing our lives from your accident story. As you called it Death and not near death experience because you met Jesus face to face and your judgment was not good. Then our Blessed Mother spoke and asked to intercede for you. Another testimony to asking for Mary's help. As you always said, "there is only one person Jesus can't say no to...his Mother." So we ask Mother Mary to intercede for you now that your path to Heaven will be quick. We love you Father Steve! Well done Fr Scheier and thank you for praying for us always! My sincere condolences on the passing of dear Fr. Steven. I just found out. Im so heartbroken. I spoke to him a couple of years ago and gave me and my Apostolate great advice. I was ready to call him again and I was told by a friend of mine he passed away. Sending the family all my prayers and the prayers of the Spiritual Motherhood of Priests (Ottawa, Canada). May he Rest In Peace in the arms of Our Lord and Mother Mary.

I never met Fr. Scheier but I went with a friend, quite unwilling, back in the 90's to hear him speak. God knew I was meant to hear him speak because it forever changed my life. I felt on the morning of April 16th with quite urgency, while I prayed my rosary, to try and reach out to him. I was able to speak to him and pray with him over the phone. I know that Our Lady arranged that. God bless you Fr. Steven Scheier. Eternal rest Grant unto him oh Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the Mercy of God, rest in peace amen.

I was in second grade at St. Margaret Mary when we got Fr. Scheier. I remember him as quite tall with glasses and black hair. He always taught us to respect people of all religions and incorporated that into our classes. Rest in Peace.
