Steven Schleifer Obituary

Published by Legacy on Sep. 11, 2025.
Steven M. Schleifer, 64 of Hollywood, Florida passed away on September 6, 2025. Steven had a big heart. He loved deeply and was a friend to all. He had a gift for making others feel comfortable-whether you knew him for a minute or a lifetime, his warmth put you instantly at ease. He carried a playful, sometimes offbeat sense of humor, always willing to laugh at himself if it meant lightening the mood. Some of his most formative years were spent at his family's summer camp in Connecticut, where he built lifelong friendships and discovered a passion for food service that later shaped his career. Steven took great pride in his work and in serving others the best way he knew how - through food. He will be remembered for the lengths he went to for those he cared about. His loved ones knew they could always pick up the phone and call him at any hour, day or night, to talk about anything at all-serious or trivial. He always listened with an open heart and without judgment. Above all, Steven was especially proud of his children, Lindsey Guerrera and Michael Schleifer, daughter-in-law Kristin Kessler and grandchildren Jordyn Marie Guerrera and Walter Finn Schleifer-Kessler. Steven was predeceased by his father, Joel Schleifer and stepfather, Arnold Moltz, and is survived by his mother, Patricia Moltz. Steven also leaves behind his brothers; Larry Moltz and his wife Wendy, and Jeffrey Schleifer, along with his nephews Joseph Moltz and his wife Hannah, and Sage Schleifer. He will be remembered for the love he gave so freely- a love that will continue to live on in all of us who were lucky enough to know him.
