Steven Schultz Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Trahan Funeral Chapel & Prearrangement Center on Nov. 19, 2023.
Steven J. Schultz, age 67, passed away peacefully on Friday morning, November 17, 2023 in his residence at Close to Home Assisted Living Riegel in Bay City. The son of the late Gerald and Patricia (Musinski) Schultz, he was born on September 2, 1956 in Bay City. He graduated in 1974 from T.L. Handy High School and went on to proudly serve his country with the U.S. Marine Corps. Steven wore many hats during his life – store clerk, taxi driver, Santa Claus, etc., but to his family he was best known as Uncle Buck the Babysitter. And he enjoyed sports, especially the Lions and Red Wings.
Steven is survived by two brothers and two sisters, Michael (Karen) Schultz, Dale (Theresa) Schultz, Lori (Harold) Donaldson and Connie (Jerry) Keel; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Christine Hahn in 2012; and a brother, Paul Schultz in 2021.
Steven's family would like to express their thanks to the dedicated staff at Close to Home for all of the care and compassion they gave him over the years.
Military Honors, conducted by the U.S. Marine Corps and the Bay County Veterans Council, will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Trahan Funeral Chapel. Private interment will be at Floral Gardens Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, November 29th from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be directed to the wishes of the family. For on-line sentiments: www.trahanfc.com
