When I think of all I know about Steve...I think of a very friendly, polite person! His loved his family, he was devoted to his wife, his daughters, grandchildren!
I know there's no words to describe what he has gone through, fighting with all of his strength & might for his life! I know that his family will come together, be supportive of each other! Especially the love of his life, Carolyn who fought this battle with Steve @ his side ! Our prayers are with this family, the pain of the loss that only our Savior can truly touch with His healing,His comfort!
We love you Carolyn... you're like a little sister to me! If you need anything, please call us!

Thank You Jesus for giving me him as my Father he is truly my biggest Blessing. Ever since I was a kid I seen my daddy as a superhero. As the years went on it was proven to be true my dad is a real superhero. A super man, a super husband, a super Father, a super grandfather, a super hardworker, and so much more. A honest family oreiented man. He never failed me. He never failed us. I'm thankful & proud he was my dad. Thank you Jesus & thank you daddy. I am Stefanie Smart Steve's daughter. He was the best daddy and grand paw in the world. He was sooooooo funny. He could go on forever with stories of the tick tock man and the amazon wars that took place in satsuma, la. I just can't believe this is happening. Daddy i am gonna miss u so so so much!!!! I love you!!!!

I worked with Steve last year on the job in Mont Belvieu,Tx . This was the first time meeting and working with him, and I truly enjoyed our times together. We had so much in common, as we were (old school) Performance employees in the steel department. We often sat in his or my offices and shared past experiences. I will miss calling and talking to him and offer my condolences to the family. I know he will be missed by all of his family ,and my prayers and regards go out to each and every one . God bless
