Steven Matthew Smith, born on December 7, 1999, in Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away on March 14, 2025. He was a beloved son, brother, fiancé, and friend, whose presence in the lives of those who knew him will be deeply missed.
A dedicated journeyman electrician, Steven worked as an industrial electrician, demonstrating not only his skill but also his commitment to his craft. He embodied a strong work ethic combined with a zest for lifelong learning and was well-read on current events, reflecting his keen intellect and curiosity about the world around him. Steven was known for his kind and gentle spirit. He had a profound love for animals and a passion for cooking, often bringing joy to those around him with his culinary creations. His easy-going personality and readiness to lend a helping hand made him a treasured friend and family member.
Steven is survived by his loving parents, Jerry and Amy Smith of Benton, Arkansas; his sister, Lauren Smith of Benton, Arkansas; his fiancée, Sabrina Cox of Benton, Arkansas; and his grandmothers, Myra Smith and Joy Abels of Benton, Arkansas. He is also survived by his great-grandmother, Mildred Whatley of Malvern, Arkansas, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who cherish his memory and who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jim Smith.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a visitation at Smith Family Funeral Home in Benton, Arkansas, on March 19, 2025, from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM.
In this time of grief and remembrance, we honor Steven’s life and the impact he had on all who were fortunate enough to know him.
