Russon Brothers Mortuary - BountifulSteven Dee Weese, at the age of 70, passed away on March 4th, 2024, doing what he loved most, cruising with his wife Debie Weese and lifelong friends (Loni and Josie Shears). While we have lost our beloved husband, dad, and grandpa many have lost a great friend and a loved one in him. We hope that everyone can remember the master of sarcastic humor and witty timing that he was so greatly known for.
Son of George Dee Weese and Joyce Udy, he was born on January 9th, 1954, in Tremonton, Utah. He attended school at Viewmont High and graduated in 1972.
He married his sweetheart Debie (Williams) on July 29th, 1976, and has been happily married ever since for 47 years. The two loved to travel together throughout their marriage and their last adventure together was on their 50th cruise from Hawaii to Tahiti.
Steve was involved in the Beehive Chariot Racing Association and also supported his father Dee on running the Weese Farms in West Bountiful, which raised and bred quarter horses. He was an avid Utah Utes fan and was very passionate about sports as he played many growing up and into his adulthood. This led him to pass down his love for animals and baseball to his children. He was also a true outdoorsman and always enjoyed being outside. Some of his favorite activities were hunting, fishing, camping, and teaching his children and grandsons how to appreciate nature.
He was blessed with seven grandsons and one of his greatest joys was being a grandpa. His life revolved around teaching them life's great adventures and how they could be anything they wanted to be. Some of his fondest memories were those of his annual family trips to Cooke City, Montana and Henry's Lake, Idaho. Whether it was fishing off the dock, sitting around the campfire laughing at jokes, watching all of the wildlife, or the family meals cooked in the cabins. His family will always cherish these memories on those adventures with him.
Steve is preceded in death by his grandson Dylan Jr. Phillips, father Dee (Babara) Weese, and his in-laws Jr. and Jeanette Williams.
Steve is survived by his loving wife Debie, his children: Nichole (Brady) Roberts, Nathan Dee Weese, Katie Phillips, and Kimberly (Skyler Valerio) Weese. Six grandsons: Chase and Conner Weese, Treven and Graysen Roberts, Drake and Jamenson Phillips. His mother Joyce Udy, sister Christine Moss, and brother Brian Weese.
A service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26th, 2024, at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, Bountiful, Utah, to celebrate the life of Steve Dee Weese.
